Mr. Dennis Bellehumeur, PhD

Founder

Mr. Dennis Bellehumeur is Founder of Sober Steering.  Mr. Bellehumeur is a Neuro-Clinical Psychologist with a PhD from Stafford University.  He has significant experience working with alcoholism and specifically, brain injuries caused by alcohol related accidents.  For over 20 years, Mr. Bellehumeur has been involved in the study and practice of brain injury rehabilitation.  He currently sits on several Boards related to alcoholism and traumatic brain injuries.

In addition to significant professional experience working with alcohol related rehabilitation, Mr. Bellehumeur is a serial entrepreneur.  Mr. Bellehumeur founded Personal Therapists, Inc., which provided clinical and residential services to pediatric and adult brain injured populations.  As founder and CEO, Mr. Bellehumeur was responsible for overall financial, clinical and administrative management of the day-to-day corporate operations.  Mr. Bellehumeur grew Personal Therapists, Inc. to international status with accreditation and then profitably sold the company.  As a subsidiary of Personal Therapists, Inc., Mr. Bellehumeur started Tri-Hope Associates, Inc., a brain injury rehabilitation center, which he later sold. Prior to founding and running his own businesses, Mr. Bellehumeur has served in various clinical, educational and executive positions within the brain rehabilitation field throughout North America.

For the past twelve years, Mr. Bellehumeur has developed the SSS System and encouraged the adoption of legislation favorable to alcohol ignition interlock devices.
